Ow man, I just throw eye on my stuff at deviantart gallery and there are just girls, girls and even more girls… Fully clothed, half dressed, nude, in bikini… for someone it may looks totally silly and boring.

Anyway did you ever thought about getting into the Blizzard Entertainment? Joystic team has sneaked through Blizzard’s campus in Irvine, CA and shoot tons of photos! I’ve seen few reports after Blizzard moved to the new campus but Joystic did quite a coverage.

The first thing you’ll see outside is a massive Orc Wolfrider 12-foot-tall statue done by the fabulous guys at WETA Workshop, New Zealand. Around the statue is an eight point compass, which highlights the company’s development mantras:

Learn and Grow

Gameplay First

Lead Responsibly

Play Nice, Play Fair

Think Globally

Every Voice Matters

Commit To Quality

Embrace Your Inner Geek

There is also a nice volleyball court to play around and lots of greenery. But the real magic is goin’ inside the buildings. The things that impress me the most are the library (lots of stuff!) and WoW server monitors. The last one looks just like network operational center with realtime world map displaying night and day cycle and worldwide servers status.

But I won’t spoil all the details here, just go and read and reveal the Blizzard’s realm for yourself!

Oh and here is a gang of Blizzard artists (Bernie Kang, Brian Huang, Chris Thunig, Steve Hui and Mathias Verhasselt) has launched their blogspot called draftmonkeys.

Concept Art World is a wordpress-based blog about, well you name it, conceptual art. There are posts about videogames and movies concept art and artists as well as various artistic projects like Exodyssey or BATTLEMiLK. The structure is simple and neat so you won’t be lost under the piles of text. There are also few small sections with information on books, training and studios. Here is an example on Star Trek 2009 concept art feature:

Another cool blog I’ve just discovered Eavesdropping with Johnny have tons of info on Star Trek, including photos and concepts from the recent Star Trek 2009 movie. If you’re sci-fi fan or futuristic designer don’t miss this one.

Creative Uncut or CU for short is dedicated to bringing together concept design works from a wide variety of games to one place where people can easily access and enjoy them. The title “Creative Uncut” is partially derived from a poor fan translation of a Star Ocean 2 music track that was incorrectly translated as “Let’s Creative”. Every image on CU is watermark-free, out of respect for the original artists and for those wishing to collect artwork or use it in personal design projects. The project were launched in 2003 and since then goes pretty well serving almost 12,000,000 unique visits to date.
