Ballistic Publishing just launched a brand new, large-format, fantasy graphic novel based on the Utherworlds universe created by Philip Straub. Utherworlds combines a fully-fledged novel with written and spoken languages, maps, and stunning paintings with hidden messages that provide layers of detail not seen in other graphic novels.

On Utherworlds promo website you’ll find a bit more info on visual journey as well as book previewer and promo trailer. Oh and the first 20 buyers of Utherworlds will receive a free download of the entire Utherworlds soundtrack by composer Alan Hewitt. The next 200 buyers will receive an alternate track and the Utherworlds theme from the soundtrack.

Another buzz came from Blizzard who have been partnering up with Sideshow Collectibles to produce Diablo III’s Barbarian statue. The original unpainted version looks cool despite the price but the recently released colored version looks… well, great except the face.

I personally prefer more courageous and rugged look. So I’ve played a bit with it to get Diablo III cinematic or movie style appearance.

The guys at Blizzard doin’ a great job as usual but sometimes they need a fresh pair of eyes over their stuff.
