Shirou Kotobuki
If you, by any chance, landed at Kotobuki Shirou’s website it may looks just like another anime artist webpage with lots of kanji and cute’n’sexy anime-styled girls.
By maintaining link collector I’ve seen hundreds and hundreds anime and manga artists websites and I can say that Kotobuki Shirou get a unique, recognizible style. He’s capturing female beauty with soft and fluid lines and pastel-like colors. As a result, they looks alive and beautiful.
He is also been involved in character design for Rumble Roses PS2/XBOX360 game by Konami.
What makes him so special is a way he have to draw and paint. He can’t move his hands or legs after a motorcycle accident, only his head. Can you imagine that? He’s still an illustrator and concept artist though.
It’s a fantastic example for the artists thinking that they have no inspiration or lacking talent etc. As someone have said, whatever you think your problems are, no matter how “late” you start, “lack” of talent or your physical condition – you CAN succeed.

Man.., I admire such courageous people like him. And it’s not because he didn’t lost himself after the tragedy, but he still keeps and becoming a better badass artist in cg anime art!
This guy is Amazing!
Without this video it would be hard to imagine how he pulled this of without using his hands and feet..
